It is the best feeling in the world to design beautiful things and create them for the loveliest people.

Meeting the perfect couple is a blessing, working with them from idea to creation is such a joy and handing over arrangements that we’ve made and come to adore for them to love too, is the cherry on top of an amazing collaboration.

We loved getting to meet and work with Alix and Chris, the most genuine and down to earth couple, and selecting the perfect flowers for them was a great part of the fun.

We got to work with some of our favourite flowers and really lucked out with seasonal availability having peonies, dahlias and ranunculus, 3 flowers they hoped to get, all ready for the picking. We also really got to play with some gorgeous foliage, shoutout to the monstera leaves, as well as eucalyptus berries and palm to create wild, boho style bouquets in bright, bold colours and blooms.

Using blue thistle as a nod to Chris’ Scottish background worked great as a contrasting pop of colour and texture which we kept for the bride and groom’s arrangements only. This was a way of giving them something meaningful and extra special for them to have and hold.

Alix’s bouquet was made with all of the flowers picked, from command performance peonies to pale pink antirrhinum and her bridesmaids and flower girl got smaller versions of her bouquet, each made differently to bring everyone together but remain individual. The same goes for the buttonholes. We always make our Groom’s buttonhole special and slightly different from everyone else. The mother of the groom also got a unique boutonnière as something in keeping with the style but designed just for her.

From the bridal party’s creations to the venue’s pew ends which we reused as bud vases, we got to make a range of colourful arrangements for the couple and the whole party to enjoy.

A massive congratulations and thank you to Alix and Chris for working with us. Also, thank you to their insanely talented photographer Mark Horton for his fantastic photography below.

Alice’s Favourites

I feel I say this about every wedding, but it really is so difficult to choose a favourite. Firstly has to be the couple, Alix and Chris were so incredible to work with. The flower choice was impeccable, peonies are one of my favourite flowers and using them alongside dahlias, garden roses and blue thistle was beautiful! A favourite moment might have to be seeing the bridesmaids followed by the beautiful bride herself come out with their flowers. It was lovely seeing the bouquets match their colourful dresses perfectly.

Lisa’s Favourites

For me has to be seeing the bridesmaids come out in their range of dresses with the bouquets that match so well. We couldn’t have planned it better. Creating Chris’ buttonhole using the thistle and each one after, was brilliant. Trying to give every one a uniqueness was such a great challenge, I just love making buttonholes. The joy of working with such a genuine couple with such great ideas was so nice and Chris being such a gallant Groom, greeting his guests and welcoming us in such an appreciative way was just lovely.
