We love it when we meet a wonderful couple who is just as excited as us to explore different arrangements

I have been desperate to work on a wedding that included the couple’s four legged friend so that we could create something for, arguably, the cutest ring bearer ever.

That was one of the many reasons why we loved working with Lucy and Gregor. We were lucky enough to meet them at the Quirky Wedding Fayre and immediately knew we would have to make something for Poppy, the pup, to wear down the aisle. Thankfully, they were just as excited to have her adorned in flowers and we got to creating.

The flowers for this gorgeous May wedding was the epitome of summer flowers with a beautiful, soft spin which gave the arrangements a fresh and magical feel. We got to use white alertie peonies which bloomed open into a glorious pompom of soft petals and exquisite scent. Putting them with light pink larkspur, the glorious Lorena summerhouse rose and dried pampas gave a boho bridal feel to a classically beautiful colour scheme. We also played with different lisianthus varieties and mixed gypsophila with wax flower to explore texture and colour.

We got to create the lovely bride’s bouquet, her bridesmaids posies and buttonholes for the groom and his groomsmen alongside Poppy’s flower harness and a sweet and simple flower crown with a basket of rose petals for their flower girl. We also provided the fantastic baker, The Maplewood Bakery, with flowers for them to decorate the wedding cake, and it look spectacular.

Thank you to sweetest couple for choosing to work with us, their phenomenal photographers, Shell Sperling Weddings, for their truly magical photography seen below, the wonderful Elenor with The Maplewood Bakery and of course, the adorable Poppy for sporting her flower harness so well.

Alice’s Favourites

It’s always hard picking favourites especially when everything was so beautiful, from using my favourite flowers to making the little flower crown. But I will have to give it to making Poppy’s flower harness. Not only did she look adorable but we had the challenge of changing things on the spot as the day turned out hotter than we expected and we needed to make sure she wouldn’t overheat. I always love a challenge and Poppy stayed cool and looked great in the end.

Lisa’s Favourites

I think for me it was the making the pew ends. I got to work on them independently and be as creative as I wished. The flowers were so robust yet delicate and it finished the aisle in such a sweet way. Making their ‘With Love’ resin key rings was a special joy and obviously getting to work with Poppy was a plus. The whole day was just precious.
