My favourite thing about weddings has to be their individuality.
Every person is different, every couple is different so no two weddings can be the same.
We got to work with a really cool and genuine couple for their wedding. Their idea for an entirely dried flower wedding excited us as we love to work with dried flowers and collaborating with them to create the perfect arrangements was such a pleasure.
We used texture and colour to fit their idea of rustic and chilled with an edge and got to really play and introduce ourselves to new materials which we have added to our wheelhouse for new and different arrangements.
We used diametrically opposing textures which, we felt, worked brilliantly in these arrangements. From teasle to bunny tails, natural dried colouring to dark forest greens, we worked with the bride and groom to create dimension and shape for their bridal party arrangements as well as their mixed bud vases. We also got to supply our own biodegradable confetti for the whole wedding party to enjoy.
Alice’s favourites - It’s hard to pick a favourite part of this wedding but I definitely loved the flower choices. Compacta protea with teasle and preserved Italian ruscus was beautiful to work with. Creating all of the bridal party’s arrangements, especially the bridal bouquet and the groom’s special buttonhole was definitely a highlight
Lisa’s favourites - I always love using dried flowers and it was lovely to have the colour choice given by the couple. Creating the bud vases was a real joy, as was making the confetti.
Thank you so much to this lovely couple for working with us as well as the brilliant Jake Owens for his stunning photography seen below.
